FC TO START U11 & U12 BOYS TEAMS

FOR FALL 2000 - TRYOUTS IN MAY

With the continuing success of our girls teams we have had a significant number of requests to form boys teams.  As a result of this interest,  FC will form boys' teams for the first time this year,  though in keeping with our developmental philosophy, only teams at the U11 and U12 ages will be initially formed.

Our Technical Director is looking forward to adding boys to the program. "Before FC Willamette and my stint at Oregon State I had pretty much exclusively coached boys so it's exciting to have the chance to do so again after working solely with girls for the

past 4 years," says Tom Rowney.  Tom has previously coached male teams in the professional leagues (FC Seattle),  College (Portland Community College) and High School (South Eugene).

"Last summer we held a pre-classic summer academy session for U-10 boys which went very well.  I'm hoping to see many of those players (and new ones) at our try-outs."

Try-outs for the U11 and U12 boys will take place in May,  2000 (along with try-outs for the new U11-U14 girls teams).  Details can be found on our Try-Out Information page.
