Purpose & Goals

bullet

Provide for the long-term and complete development of each individual team member according to their level of commitment, work ethic, promise, and desire

bullet

To increase the opportunities for each participant to compete effectively for college scholarship and/or performance recognition by senior high-school age.

bullet

To provide an environment where coaching staff recognize the need to be flexible with participants so that other activities,  particularly academic activities can be undertaken effectively.

Our  goals are accomplished by:

bullet

focusing on the long-term,  complete development of each individual participant without regard to immediate team results

bullet

setting higher standards regarding academic excellence, sportsmanship, commitment, community service, and parent and player behavior

bullet

providing experienced coaching and supervision

bullet

establishing a training environment where every participant is required to challenge each other to raise the level of their performance to the highest standards

bullet

encouraging a dedication to compete at the highest level with teams from much larger metropolitan areas.

bullet

implementing a logically progressive training curriculum which moves from one theme to the next without taking "short-cuts" designed to foster short-term team victories. The curriculum is designed to take full advantage of the "optimal learning years" between the ages of 10 and 14 where the focus is on establishing solid technical and tactical fundamentals.  The program then progresses to developing a greater understanding of how the game is played and encouraging a commitment to high levels of physical fitness and athletic expression.
