U-11 Primo take 2003 Presidents Cup !

On Sunday 23rd November,  the U11 Primo team capped a fine first Fall season with FC Willamette by winning the 2003 Presidents Cup.  Both semi-finals and Championship game were played over the Nov. 22/23 weekend.  In the semi-final the Primo defeated the Bend Rapids with goals from Whitney Redberg (un.) and Miranda Gathright (Redberg).   In the Championship game the Primo defeated the WUSC Crush 2-1 on goals by Katie Butler and Whitney Redberg (Miner).  Head Team Coach Dave King was very pleased with the performance of the team.  "I was especially pleased with the way they increased the intensity level.  Our teams are known for their technical abilities and because we focus on that for the Fall teams it's often difficult to get our players to raise the intensity level in their play.  Everyone on the team managed to do that for this tournament while keeping their technical play at a high level."
